We love to welcome children and
young people of all ages to Albany Park, seeing them as integral members
of our fellowship. They often play a key role in our services and are
encouraged to help out in various ways. Such is our commitment to youth
that we have just taken a step of faith and decided to appoint a Youth
Development Worker. We have a policy statement on Children and the Church.
Sunday Club is open to all children from 4 years upwards and includes singing, stories, craft and games for the junior school age children.
Lasers covers young people at secondary school. They enjoy just being together and discussing contemporary issues in a Christian context. For infants we provide a special corner of the church where they can play quietly with parents close at hand.

Kids Lent takes place every Thursday evening during Lent from 4 - 6pm. This is a time to to come and be quiet with God after a busy school day with the opportunity to express your prayer on a graffiti wall. Con†act is our weekly activity for 11 - 18 year olds. They meet for games, tuck and other activities and also enjoy outings and joint activities with other local churches. They have an opportunity to discuss issues relating to the Christian faith or social issues that concern them. They recently looked at Youth Alpha material and raised money for Smile International by a sponsored sleepover. A current popular pastime is screen printing and many can be seen around wearing their Contact T sheets with pride. They also enjoy playing football, table tennis, pool and the dance mat.
